To manually close apps running in the background of your iOS device, simply double click the home button. This will bring up the list of running programs.
Swipe left or right to navigate through the apps running in the background. Swipe up to force close the program.
Closing running background apps will free up memory and resources on your iPad allowing for a smoother experience.
